This position is responsible for supporting the field sales organization, internal management and external customer with reporting and data analysis that provides clear and actionable insights in the areas of sales, category management, promotions and overall marketing strategy.

The ideal candidate will be a creative, motivated, independent, detail-oriented worker with strong analytical, mathematical and communication skills. ​ Excellent computer skills are essential for success. ​ This position reports directly to the Marketing Manager, Marketing Research Manager.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design reports and analytic applications in a presentable and actionable format that customers can leverage for clear insights. ​
  • Collaborate with team members to creatively pursue new knowledge from data.
  • Support internal sales and account management teams in the development of new business opportunities with existing and new customers.
  • Develop an understanding of customers’ goals, strategies, target consumer and competition. ​
  • Assist customers in helping them drive business growth and ROI through unique and creative analysis. ​
  • Use of SAP Business Intelligence reporting systems and related applications to analyze sales trends and promotions, track and report initiatives and forecast sales.
  • Monitor social media trends using tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Leverage statistical tools along with historical and current market data for analysis and predictive modeling.
  • ​Work with large volumes of disparate data and monitor data for integrity and accuracy. ​
  • Utilize automation tools to efficiently produce routine reports and maintain data tables.
  • Assists with other projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum education: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Market Research or related field.
  • 0 - 5 years’ experience in relevant consumer market with combined education.
  • Excellent computer skills with sales reporting, database and analysis tools such as Business Objects, MS Access and SAS.  Intermediate to Advanced skills in MS Excel, MSWord and MS PowerPoint.
  • Other skills: Social media monitoring and analytics a plus, Business Objects experience a plus, Tableau software experience a plus, SAS programming experience a plus, Experience with consumer related mapping software a plus, Strong aptitude for data collection and mining
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Willingness to travel, if necessary.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with high attention to detail.
