The Sr. Instructional Designer at IGT thinks globally to develop instructional materials and products and drives the strategy for the technology-based design of courses.  This position acts as an innovator, facilitator, researcher, and developer and reports to the Manager, Learning Solutions. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define instructional, learning and performance objectives; develop evaluation tools to measure impact of learning. 
  • Present and make recommendations regarding course design, technology, and instruction delivery options.
  • Using Adobe Captivate, Storyline or similar, design classroom, virtual classroom, and blended solutions for professional and leadership skills offerings and compliance programming.
  • Using authoring tools to design learning products, including web-based aids, performance support systems and assessments with gamification capabilities.   
  • Provide analytical support for the design and development of training curricula, learning strategies, educational policies, or courseware standards.
  • Develop strategy for delivery of Harvard Manage Mentor, MOOCs and other online learning. 
  • Conduct needs assessments, consult with business leaders on design of content; develop project plans with approval processes and check ins for client buy in. 
  • Facilitate and/or act as a producer for virtual workshops using Adobe Connect or WebEx. 
  • Audit and refresh content for compliance and to ensure we continue to innovate.
  • Network with senior internal and external leaders in industry to learn and implement

Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree 
  • Minimum Experience: 3-5 or years
  • Knowledge of concepts, principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems
  • Technical proficiency and willingness to learn new technologies 
  • Ability to leverage software & technology to deliver training
